Jeff Lowe

Biography

Internationally acclaimed sculptor Jeff Lowe has lived and worked in London since the early 1970’s. Since the early 80’s Lowe has spent part of the year working in Portugal, where he has built a house and studios.
 
Lowe came to prominence with his first one man show in 1974 at the prestigious Leicester Galleries in London’s Cork St. Lowe was only twenty-one and shortly after represented Britain at the Paris Biennale. Exhibitions at the Hayward Gallery and Serpentine Gallery were followed by many one-man shows, Cork Street Gallery, London, Centro Cultural, Faro, Robert Steele Gallery, New York. Selected group exhibitions include Hayward Gallery, Guggenheim Venice, Ikon Gallery Birmingham, Gallery Josine Bockhoven, Amsterdam, Waddington & Shiell Gallery Toronto and the National Gallery Australia.
